Below is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQ):
1) How can I join Team Total and have Total as my crew sponsor?
To join Team Total, you must apply on its website. You access your account and stored application with your login and password. The application includes your statement of motivations and the required attachments (CV, forms, video). You will be able to modify your application at any time until the deadline, January 25, 2010. You can also forward other documents to us if they can help us judge your level of motivation!
After the January 25 deadline, all crew videos will be put on line.
2) We’re a brand new crew and have never participated in the Raid Total Centrale Paris before. What are our chances of being selected?
Your past participation in the Raid Total Centrale Paris is not what counts: your motivation does! To stack the chances in your favour, see the "Making a success of your application" section
3) What are the phases of the contest?
Phase 1: Now until January 25, 2010
Online applications open
To create your account, explain your motivations and produce a video (3 minutes maximum) to present your project to the Total selection committee. Create a buzz around you to promote your crew!
Phase 2: Selection of the 6 semi-finalist teams
During the week of February 1st, 2010, the list of the 6 semi-finalist crews selected to make up Team Total will be online!
Phase 3: Raid ECP preliminaries
The 6 semi-finalist crews will compete at the Raid preliminaries, February 13, 2010.
Phase 4: Raid Total Centrale Paris will take place April 25 to 29, 2010!
4) Does Total have to be my exclusive sponsor?
The winning crews can have other sponsors as long as they are not involved in the oil industry or associated industries (lubricants, for example).
5) Do I have to pre-enrol my crew for the Raid Total Centrale Paris?
You must not forget to pre-enrol your crew for the Raid Total Centrale Paris 2010! Your pre-enrolment fees will be refunded if you join Team Total.
